How We're Helping
Local solar installer Solarponics created Share Some Sunshine as a way to introduce their employees to nonprofit organizations in the community that could use volunteers. Every employee gets a paid day off to volunteer for a cause of their choice in our communities. Then employees invited family and friends to join them. But there was one obstacle. We discovered that it was hard to find smaller nonprofits. For example, did you know there was a Burro Sanctuary in Arroyo Grande or that there is an organization that creates memorabilia boxes for fallen soldiers in Paso Robles? Meet dozens of local nonprofit organizations in our community and find the perfect one to voluneer at.
